Community Council Executive Board Positions

The Community Council E-Board is responsible for leading the efforts of the council. Each position is responsible for different aspects of the council's operations and each uniquely vital to the success of the council.

President

  • Uphold the constitution of this organization and follow parliamentary procedureGive overall leadership of the Community Council
  • Preside over Community Council meetings
  • Represent Townhouse Community Council outside of the community
  • Be a leader and role model within the Townhouses
  • Meet with the Community Council Advisors on a bi-weekly basis
  • Be responsible for all formal community correspondence
  • Attend every community council program, unless previously approved by the Advisor
  • Give overall leadership of the Community Council

Vice-President

  • Uphold the constitution of this organization
  • Act as a direct aid to the president
  • Assume the responsibilities of the president in case of absence or vacancy
  • Represent Townhouse Community Council outside of the community
  • Be responsible for all advertisements, posters, handouts, etc. of the Townhouse Community Council
  • Be a leader and role model within the Townhouses
  • Attend all Townhouse Community Council meetings
  • Attend every community council program, unless previously approved by the Advisor
  • Record and distribute all minutes of all official Townhouse Community Council meetings

Treasurer

  • Keep and report accurate financial records of the Townhouse Community Council account
  • Endorse all community council expenditures in collaboration with the RHD
  • Meet monthly with the advisors to coordinate finances
  • Attend all Townhouse Community Council meetings
  • Be a leader and role model within the Townhouses

Residential Student Congress (RSC) Representative – (two positions)

  • Attend each RSC meeting
  • Serve as a liaison from RSC to the Townhouse Community Council and vice-versa
  • Vote on behalf of Townhouse Community Council on RSC matters
  • Attend all Townhouse Community Council meetings
  • Represent Townhouse Community Council outside of the community
  • Be a leader and role model within the Townhouses
