Starting the Cornell year off right with a welcoming BBQ open to all of the Cornell Community. The students join Ujamaa to enjoy great food and mingle.
A celebration invites Ujamaa residents and others of the Cornell and surrounding local community to enjoy food from all over the African Diaspora while watching a showcase that encompasses the 7 principles of Kwanzaa.
The UN trip is an interactive personalized group experience in which participants will participate in:
1. Guided Tour of the UN Building
2. Panel Presentations by UN Experts on these topics:
- The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- The Environment, Climate Change and Sustainable Development
- International Decade for People of African Descent (2015-2024)
- UN Internships and Careers
- The UN Structure Missions of the UN & its Specialized Agencies
3. Free time to visit New York City
