112 Edgemoor

Built in 1880, this colonial revival house is distinguished by its symmetrical, three-story, three-bay facade, cornice, corner pilasters, and projecting front porch with Tuscan Doric columns.

112 Edgemoor was first purchased in 1906 by Theta Lambda Phi, a Cornell law fraternity.  Later that group became the national fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon in 1912, staying in the house until 1965 when they built a new house.

Cornell bought 112 Edgemoor that year, and it has been a university residence ever since - first as the Triangle Fraternity House in the 70s and early 80s, and then becoming student housing from 1985 onward.
