Balance Festival | March 4th
Balancing the academic, social, and health aspects of our lives is difficult. Balance Festival, a major event on North Campus on Saturday, March 4 is here to help! Balance Festival is about exploring your current choices, whether those choices are working for you, and the alternatives available – all in a positive, upbeat way that meets you where you are and recognizes the constraints you face.
Throughout the day, we’ll have a series of workshops, facilitated discussions, and scheduled activities:
- Hear faculty stories of setbacks and how they responded.
- Learn what advice recent graduates have for your time at Cornell or join a group dinner with alumni.
- Participate in a meditation and mindfulness session.
- Hear how Cornell University is addressing the mental health challenges faced by students and the proactive plans for future resources.
- De-stress and relax with therapy dogs.
You can view the full schedule of events here. Come for one event or as many as you would like!
Visit the website for more information about the lineup of events. Feel free to attend the events that are interesting to you, or just stop by the Tatkon Center (first floor RPCC) to see what Balance Festival is all about!
If your current academic/social/health choices are working for you, that’s great! Come for some fun or to support a friend! If you’re curious about making small changes and what that might look like, Balance Festival can help you learn more about yourself, connect you to resources, and offer practical suggestions to help you choose what you need.
