About Us

STEP-UP strives to increase the exposure of underrepresented, marginalized and low income family high school students to scientific education (graduate and undergraduate). STEP-UP mission is to positively impact the high school student population in the Ithaca Area through outcome-based programming, scientific exposure, diversity initiatives and interactions with College and Graduate students. Additionally, we want to foster a community where we can discuss science related current events and increase the understanding of current scientific research.
