Project Generations was founded by a group of students at Ithaca College in the fall of 2010 after forming a close partnership with the Tompkins County Office for the Aging in Ithaca, New York. Cornell University established a chapter in fall of 2011 in collaboration with Ithaca College and the Tompkins County Office for the the Aging. The Tompkins County Office for the Aging and Project Generations have been able to pair over 150 students and older adults in the Ithaca community since the program’s inception.
