Room/Building FAQs

Q: Is there a mirror in the room?

A: Most rooms in Mews have a full length mirror in the room

Q: Does the set of drawers fit under the bed?

A: Yes! Many students opt to store their drawers under the bed to save space. The bed will need to be set to its highest setting, which it should be set to upon your arrival.

Q: Is there Laundry in the building?

A: Yes! We have laundry rooms on the East and West side of the first floor. Our machines are High Efficiency, so bring the appropriate detergent. There is also an iron and ironing board available for public use.

Q: Are the rooms carpeted?

A: Most rooms in Mews are carpeted. Rooms 303-332 (Third floor, West Wing) have LVT flooring.

If your question isn't answered here, please watch our tour videos linked on our main page! We show a single room, double room, and other spaces in the building.

Community Spaces

Mews Hall is filled with many lounge / study spaces throughout the entire building - this one of the best aspects of our community! On each floor, there are two end hall lounges- this is where you will be attending many of your community meetings. Additionally, there is a lounge in the middle of each floor- in this lounge you will find a 60 inch TV and some couches as well as a kitchen inclusive of some storage space, a large refrigerator and an oven/stove.

We have three large programming lounges in our community: the 1 East lounge, the 1 West lounge and the Lund Lounge. The Lund Lounge has a beautiful baby grand piano that we always love to see/hear residents playing. This is also where you will check in with us on Move-In Day! The 1 East lounge is our largest lounge with a TV and our 1 West lounge is similarly equipped.

Meditation & Wellness Room

Mews & Loving House is the home to a meditation room which is currently going through a make over. There will be many programs and opportunities to engage in this space during our time together. Pictures and more information to come.

RHD Jess's Quiet Corner

Any time RHD Jess is in her office and not in a meeting, 1-2 students are welcome to come and utilize a small, quiet space in the back of her office. This space is equipped with two armchairs, a small table, pens/pencils, a charging station, and a variety of fidget toys. The space is also home to a small garden. RHD Jess encourages students to utilize this space to decompress when they need a moment to breathe, or to study if they are struggling to find a private, quiet space.
