My name is Maria Calderon-Marrero (she/her/hers) and I am your Program Coordinator! I’m a junior majoring in Biology with a concentration in Microbiology and a minor in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. I’m from Philly and I am Puerto Rican and Salvadoran. On campus, I’m part of the McNair Scholars Program, involved with the Cornell Mars Rover project team, and conduct research related to astrobiology, specifically on how we can detect life on Mars!
Outside of academics, I love anything sci-fi or fantasy whether it’s books, movies, shows, or video games. I’ve lived in the LLC since my freshman year and plan to stay all four years!
