Join Cornell history expert, Corey Ryan Earle ’07, and RBG faculty-in-residence, Kristen Underhill, for an evening of ghost stories, macabre legends, and infamous pranks. Enjoy free cider, donuts, and Halloween candy in the upper level of Novick’s Café at Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hall. This event is part of the "Iconic Cornell" series and is open to undergraduates. Lessons from Cornell’s Laughter Lab
What is laughter, and why do humans do it? What makes us laugh, and what doesn’t? What role does laughter perform in society? What does it mean to have (or lack) a sense of humor? What is laughter’s relationship to pleasure and pain, health and wellness, education and learning? Prof. Sara Warner (Director, LGBT Studies and Associate Professor, Department of Performing & Media Arts) will share some of the lessons learned from Cornell’s Laughter Lab, a course that co-taught with Dr. David Feldshuh. Hosted by Fellow Julie Paige.
