Small businesses are symbols of the American Dream brought to life. According to the Small Business Administration, they employ nearly 60% of the private workforce and created nearly 70% of net new jobs after the 2008 recession. The economy relies on small businesses, but they're in trouble. Only 50% of small businesses make it to their 5th year of operations. Many small business owners struggle with turnover of staff and operational issues, and many do not capitalize on digital tools to grow their business.

CYC selects only the most highly qualified undergraduates from America's best universities. Many times there is an acceptance rate of <10% to get into the program. Students that pass through our rigorous interview process are invited to join our intensive, semester-long program, which focuses on developing consultants' problem solving, interpersonal and communication, and entrepreneurial skills.

The Johnson Family Business Club serves as a forum for students with an interest in privately held corporations. This club works with local family businesses to generate meaningful connections and opportunities to prepare for working within, leading, and passing on a family-owned enterprise over the course of time. This club is for any student who has a business in their family, regardless of the size, industry, or the student's personal experience within it. Cornell Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM) is an award-winning synthetic biology research team comprised of over 50 undergraduate students in five subteams: Wet Lab, Product Development, Policy and Practices, Business, and Wiki/Design. The Pi Sigma Epsilon Zeta Alpha chapter was founded in 2011 by Cornell students who wanted to form a business fraternity focused on a wide range of business fields. This business fraternity has a national focus on sales and marketing but we emphasize a diversity of interests within business. This has enabled us to attract students with a wide range of career goals and interests, thus expanding our campus and alumni networks. Our alumni have played a major role in the founding and growth of PSE, and thus have a very close tie to the roots of our fraternity. Our brothers are constantly reaching out to alum for advice on internships, career searches, and resume critiques.

Our fraternity is designed to educate its members about various fields of business through a rigorous education process as well as a number of brotherhood-wide events during the year.
