Our mission is to engage interested Cornell undergraduates with the Ithaca community by providing weekly volunteering opportunities at the Head Start Centers in Ithaca. Our focus is on emphasizing the importance of early childhood development and allowing Cornell students to use their skills to foster relationships with the younger students of our community, with a focus on working with underserved children.

Join us for an event co-hosted by the Cornell Hunger Relief Program (CHRP) and Big Red Buddies (BRB), exploring the intersection of education and food insecurity in underserved communities. The event features a keynote by Dr. Angela Odoms-Young, whose research focuses on health equity, food justice, and community resilience. Attendees will also learn about the role of Tompkins Community Action and Head Start in supporting local families, and participate in assembling mini-meal kits for Head Start students to use during spring break.
