My name is Tanya Merino (she, her, hers) and I am a junior studying Economics in the College of Arts & Sciences. I am from Westchester County, New York, and am Ecuadorian. In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, going to the gym, trying new restaurants, and listening to my favorite artists like Rauw Alejandro and Drake (fun fact I went to their concerts this year!). I am currently the Vice President of Cornell Fashion Industry Network and work at the Housing & Residential Life office in between my classes. A fun fact about me is I currently have two tattoos that I got done in the Dominican Republic!
I am passionate about diversity, equity & inclusion and am dedicated to increasing those efforts through my role as a Residential Advisor. I am also an advocate for mentorship as I believe it is important to have someone guide you to where you want to be and expose you to more opportunities. I'm really excited for this 2023-24 year and can't wait to see new and familiar faces in our community!
