Welcome to one of the best communities.

We're looking forward to Move-in and the start of the new academic year. To help make the Move-in process go well for you, we need your help with two things.

First, if you have not submitted your photo yet for your Cornell ID, it's super easy and only takes two minutes. What's stopping you? Don't wait, the form is closing at noon August 9. Thought you already submitted a photo? Please check your to do list to confirm. Please reach out to the Registrar's Office if you think there's an error, have, or need assistance submitting your photo. It's very important to complete this task before your arrival for a smooth check-in. Your Cornell ID is not only used for access into your residential hall, it's also a bus pass, used to access Dining halls, fitness centers, libraries, and academic buildings.

Second, if you have not secured a Move-in time-slot, please do so through the Housing Portal. You can also change your timeslot if your Move-in plans have changed. We use the timeslot information to help with traffic planning, ensuring we have enough staff support, and for other planning to make sure you have the best Move-in experience possible.

Thanks for helping us make your Move-in as positive one.

About Us

Hu Shih Hall is located on North Campus housing First Year Students.  There are singles, doubles, and Triples in the community.  We are adjacent to a turf field and tennis courts, with Appel Dining being a short walk from our community.

Through creative floor plans, Hu Hall provides living spaces with a modern aesthetic that enhances the residential experience and encourages interaction and collaboration among students. Hu Hall aims to draw students out of their individual rooms and into ample common areas that support group study, social interaction, and programs in spacious lounges and nearby cafés. Hu Hall's Residence Hall Director, Faculty-in-Residence member, and Resident Advisors will host programs and activities for all interests that help students meet new friends and make connections to the university community.
