About CMS
The Materials Society at Cornell represents the university's undergraduate chapter of The Materials Research Society (MRS), The Materials Information Society (ASM), The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society (TMS), and American Ceramics Society (ACerS).
CMS is a student-run organization devoted to unity of MS&E majors and others interested in the fields of nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, semiconductors, polymers, ceramics, glasses, and metals.
Our main goal is to educate students on Materials science & engineering and to provide opportunities in the field. We primarily cater to students majoring or minoring in materials, but our events are open to anyone interested in materials!
We work closely with the MSE department to host events and help unify the MSE student body
