What We Do:

The mission of the Community Elderly Partnership at Cornell is to facilitate relationships, interactions, and mutual learning between students and elders in the Ithaca community. We visit Beechtree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center every Friday and Sunday from 3:30-5:00 pm to spend time with the residents. We have biweekly general body meetings aimed at fostering an understanding of the population of elders, while also crafting meaningful projects to support Beechtree further.

Spread Joy

A simple conversation can be enough to brighten a resident's day.

Foster Relationships

Building relationships between students and elders can help bridge generational gaps in our community.

Raise Awareness

Acknowledging the social justice issues surrounding elder care is an important step in improving the system.

This organization is a registered student organization of Cornell University and a student run program of the Einhorn Center for Community Engagement.
