Hello BIPP Family! We hope that your semester has been going well. As BIPP officially kicks off activities this week, we want to make sure everyone knows what's coming up. The E-Board is so excited for another great year of impact, supporting you, and growing Black in Public Policy!



 
General Body Meeting
Our first meeting of the year is this Wednesday (9/16) at 4:45 pm in Ives Hall, Room 108. We’ll kick off the semester with introductions, updates on upcoming programming, and an interactive activity to hear from you. Food will be provided. Please use the QR code to RSVP so we can get a headcount for food. Thank you!
E-Board Elections
Nominations open today (9/14) at noon! The open positions are:

• Secretary
• Communications Chair
• Diasporic Inclusion Chair
• Community Integration Chair

If you’re passionate about BIPP’s mission and ready to help strengthen community among Black students interested in public policy at Cornell and beyond, we encourage you to apply. If you have questions or want to learn more, join us at the general body meeting on Wednesday.



FMSC Ithaca Mobile Food Pack
BIPP will be serving at the Ithaca Mobile Food Pack on September 26th from 2pm to 4pm at the New York State National Guard Armory. We’ll be packing MannaPack meals that provide essential nutrients for children facing food insecurity around the world.

Spots are limited, so RSVP early to lock in your spot! A rideshare form is also available for anyone who needs a ride or can drive others.

On Saturday, September 26th at 2:00 pm, Black in Public Policy will join FMSC to pack meals for children facing food insecurity worldwide.

Feed My Starving Children is driven by something really simple: making sure kids don’t go to bed hungry. They create nutritious meals that help children bounce back from malnutrition, but the heart of their work is people coming together to help other people.

Their Mobile Packs, where we package these meals, feel like a community coming alive! Families, friends, students, coworkers- everyone shows up, hairnets on, music going, and the assembly lines moving. You’re laughing, cheering, sealing bags, stacking boxes, and suddenly you realize that the meals you’re packing will end up in the hands of a child who needs them. It’s meaningful, it’s energizing, and it reminds you how powerful it is when people show up for one another.
