Get to Know Mary Donlon

After graduating from Cornell Law School, Donlon worked at the Wall Street firm of Burke & Burke. At a time when women law graduates were largely frozen out of the New York City market, she thrived, becoming in 1928 the first woman to be named a partner at any Wall Street firm. She worked at Burke & Burke for almost 25 years and was the only woman attorney at the firm during that period.

Important! Requirement for all Cornell Undergraduates-

Cornell University is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning, living, and working environment for its students, faculty, and staff members. All new undergraduate students are required to view Understanding Title IX and Related University Policies and Procedures. This is an online sexual and interpersonal violence awareness course that addresses prohibited conduct covered under university policies, and it informs students of their rights to access university resources. The course will provide critical information about sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, stalking, gender discrimination and bystander intervention options.

Additional Information-

The online course takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. A brief attestation quiz is required to register completion.

While the original deadline for the course was August 21, the To Do List will remain active for the next couple of months. Students can self-enroll via the To Do List (https://todo.newstudents.cornell.edu/fall-2022/first-year/todolist/), or by clicking this link: https://canvas.cornell.edu/enroll/RRBRNE

If students are unsure of whether they have completed the course, they can navigate to the course module and review the Attestation Quiz details to view completion history (e.g., current score, submitted date/time, etc.).

Questions regarding course content can be directed to the Office of Institutional Equity and Title IX at titleix@cornell.edu.
