Welcome pen pals!

Thanks for your interest in Write a Researcher! Please sign up at this link. The deadline to sign up is October 18th.

Once you've signed up, you will be enrolled in a one-time CULearn training module and will receive an email to participate in a background check. Previous participants who have already taken the CULearn course (CRS 2101 - Protecting Children: Identifying and Reporting Misconduct) do not need to retake the course. Background checks must be completed for all participants.

When the proper documentation is complete, you will be mailed a welcome pack (including stamps, envelopes, and a letter writing guide). In November 2023, you will be notified of your pen pal match!

Each pen pal should expect to send 3 letters and receive 3 letters in return between Nov. 2023 and May 2024. High schoolers may opt to send an additional 7th letter in May. You must take a photo of your letter and email it to WriteAResearcher@gmail.com before you mail it so we can maintain an online record.
