(IHLAEF) has provided scholarship assistance to deserving students, awarding over $600,000 since its inception. Eligible students are Illinois residents pursuing culinary and hospitality management degrees from accredited colleges and universities throughout the country.

Announcing the 2022: Statler Scholarship of Excellence
The Statler Foundation has announced the continuation of this prestigious award.
Eligibility:
The Statler Scholarship of Excellence will be awarded to students who are U.S. Citizens entering their 3rd or 4th year and enrolled full-time in a Hotel/Hotel Management program. This year's scholarship is for up to $25,000 and is to be used for tuition, fees, and books only. Included in books is a maximum of $1,000 which can be used towards the purchase of a computer.
Application Requirements: Students must submit the following:
1. Completed attached application.
2. A statement that is one full page, single spaced - see section IV of the attached application. The Foundation is very interested in learning from the applicant what jobs and hospitality industry extracurricular activities you participate in, your academic achievements, and why you feel this scholarship is needed/the impact it will make on your studies.
3. A statement from the financial aid office indicating financial need, including what you provide in your application. When preparing your financial documents, please do not contact Cornell's Financial Aid Office as they do not provide this documentation. Please log on to your Student Center account and print the appropriate pages that provide details of your financial aid award, etc. Although the scholarship is for tuition, books and fees only, it is up to the student to provide a complete overview of their education costs (i.e. room and board, transportation etc.) as this will better assist the Foundation in their determinations.
4. Official transcript: obtained through the University Registrar's Office should be sent electronically to student_services@sha.cornell.edu by the application deadline stated below.
5. The student and parent/guardian (if applicable) must sign the attached application. In the case where a student is emancipated, that should be noted and a parental signature is not required. If a student or a parent is otherwise not able to sign the application, an explanation as to why must be provided.

Please submit all materials to Cheyanne Frutchey via email (cf399@cornell.edu) or in-person in the Office of Student Services, 180 Statler Hall, no later than 12pm on May 27th. No late submissions will be accepted.
