Mentor
Pastor Foote leads worship services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ithaca every Sunday morning. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Concordia Theological Seminary, and Seton Hall University, he currently works as the lead minister at Trinity. From 1996 to 2021, he also served as a Cornell University-affiliated chaplain. Pastor Foote is married and has three children. He serves as a mentor to LSF students.
Club Advisor
Professor Thompson is the Dwight C. Baum Professor of Engineering at Cornell University. Earning degrees in physics from the California Institute of Technology and Cornell University, he currently directs Cornell's Thompson Lab. He has over 120 papers, holds over 20 patents, and holds awards from both Cornell and IBM for his teaching and research. Cornell students interested in learning about their faith reached out to Professor Thompson several years ago, and we are fortunate he has been LSF's club advisor ever since!
