Guild of Visual Arts at Cornell

Our Mission

The Guild of Visual Arts (GVA) exists to give artists of any skill level a strong on-campus community where they can develop their skills in a positive group setting and gain access to high-quality art materials. GVA aims to connect individuals with artistic interests with one another and provide a forum for members to share their ideas and skills. We also act as a place for artists to showcase their works.

Open Studio Hours

We host weekly art studios (SP24 semester: Fridays 3-5PM) and monthly events (SP24 semester: Saturdays 1-3PM) in Slope Studio, basement of Willard Straight Hall (signs will be posted). All art supplies are provided, and no art skills required. Come if you enjoy spending time with friends, learning new art skills, or relaxing after a long week!

Slope Studio is located in the basement of Willard Straight Hall.  Take the stairs near the Memorial Room all the way down. Signs will be posted -- let our mascot Godfrey von Aldrich guide you :)
