About Us

"The Cornell Go Club is dedicated to promoting the study and enjoyment of the ancient strategic board game Go (also known as Weiqi in Chinese or Baduk in Korean). Our mission is to create a welcoming community where players of all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced competitors, can learn, play, and appreciate the depth and beauty of the game. We host weekly meetings every Thursday from 7-11pm in Willard Straight Hall, offering friendly matches, teaching sessions, and casual tournaments. The Cornell Go Club aims to foster strategic thinking, cross-cultural understanding, and an enduring appreciation for one of humanity's oldest intellectual arts."
