Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are there fees to join?

No! You do not need to pay anything to join the club and go to our main practices.

  • Do I need previous archery experience?

No! Beginners are welcome and we will teach you how to shoot.

  • Do I need to go to every meeting?

No! Attendance is not required, come whenever you want.

  • Do I need to bring my own equipment?

No! We have club equipment (e.g. bows, arrows, finger tabs) that you can borrow.

  • Can I bring my own equipment?

Yes, feel free to bring it! Recurve, compound, and traditional bows are all allowed. Broadhead or similar arrows are not allowed.

  • Where are the practices? How do I get there?

Our main weekly practices usually take place at Klein's Archery & Outdoor Store, which has an 18-meter indoor range. We sometimes go to an outdoor 70-meter range when weather permits.

We organize carpooling at these pickup locations: CTB, RPCC, Noyes, Maplewood, and Collegetown Terrace.

  • When are practices?

Our main practices happen on Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 PM.

We might not have practices during breaks or holidays.

  • How do I sign up for a practice?

First, join the club through Campus Groups and sign the required waivers.

We will send out emails every week (usually Wednesdays) for people to sign up for practice and choose a carpool pick-up location. It is first-come-first-serve and sometimes we may not have enough space for everyone.

If you get a spot at a practice, we will send you an email (usually Fridays) confirming your spot and telling you your assigned pick-up location.

  • Do we go to competitions?

Yes! We organize trips to competitions (such as the Lancaster Archery Classic) for members who are interested in competing.
