About Us
The purpose of the Cornell Storm Chasers shall be to increase our awareness and knowledge about meteorology outside the classroom, become active participants in the National Weather Service Skywarn program, expand diversity both within and outside of the Department of Atmospheric Science, and offer immediate relief if necessary. This will be achieved through monthly general meetings, bi-weekly instructional meetings on radar technology, field safety, and forecasting, occasional professional guest speakers, and field missions during breaks from instruction to practice and participate in data collection.
