Landscape architects lead the planning, design, and stewardship of healthy, equitable, safe, and resilient environments. The SocietyÔÇÖs mission is to advance landscape architecture through advocacy, communication, education, and fellowship. The Cornell Chapter of ASLA exists to support the students of the Department of Landscape Architecture in meeting their academic and professional goals, advocate for the profession of Landscape Architecture on and off campus, and harness the skills of its members to design and work for more accessible, sustainable, and beautiful spaces.

We have 3 purposes. One is to rent for a modest charge that includes plowing, compost, cover crops, and water, garden plots to Cornell students and members of the Cornell family and community. Second, we furnish surplus vegetables we grow to the local food banks .Third, we encourage Cornell scientists and researchers to visit and watch what we do in case we can provide some location that may assist their research.

ASPIRE is an NSF-funded Engineering Research Center (ERC) headquartered at Utah State University and operated through strategic partnerships with core partners Purdue University, University of Colorado Boulder, The University of Texas at El Paso and the University of Auckland New Zealand. Additional affiliated partners include Colorado State University, University of Colorado Colorado Springs, Virginia Tech and Cornell University. Global partnerships with industry, state agencies, and non-profits include more than 50 companies and organizations across the transportation and electric utility related industries, and key strategic partnerships with four national labs, Idaho National Laboratory, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Argonne National Laboratory.

The mission of the ASPIRE ERC is to improve health and quality of life for everyone by catalyzing sustainable and equitable electrification across the transportation industries.

The mission of the Cornell ASPIRE (Advancing Sustainability through Powered Infrastructure for Roadway Electrification) Student Association (Cornell ASA) is to provide a collaborative forum for a diverse number of students enrolled at Cornell University to benefit from, and support the mission of, the ASPIRE ERC.

Evo-group is a inter-departmental graduate student run organization that unites undergraduate, graduate students, post-docs, and faculty interested in evolutionary biology. We hold monthly seminars in which students, post-docs, and faculty present their research which they are conducting at Cornell. All Cornell community members are welcome to attend these seminars. We also hold annual meetings in which all evo-group members participate in order to prioritize and plan future directions. We additionally host a one day symposium that highlights a particular topic in evolutionary biology and includes local speakers from nearby Universities in addition to speakers from across Cornell departments.
