About the Summit

The African Global Summit is a high-level convening that brings together global leaders, scholars, innovators, and institutional actors to reframe Africa’s role in global problem-solving.

Hosted at Cornell University, the Summit leverages the University’s tradition of global scholarship and Africa-focused research while centering African graduate scholars as both contributors to and shapers of global discourse. The Summit provides a strategic platform to interrogate how leadership, innovation, and policy intersect to produce long-term global impact.

Why the Summit?

AfriGA’s mission is to create a welcoming and supportive community for African graduate students at Cornell University. We are committed to promoting academic excellence, celebrating our cultural heritage, and empowering our members to achieve personal and professional success.
