About Us

Scholars in Our Society and Africa seeks to empower individuals through education. We build scholars to effect change in their immediate society and back home, where they originate. Our NYC mentorship program, Nigeria public health projects, African development conference, and project-focused teams are some ways we are engaged with the people we serve while providing a conducive environment for growth, personal and professional development for students who want to get involved.

This organization is a registered student organization of Cornell University.

Life as a SOSA member

As part of a larger non-profit organization, SOSA Cornell's mission is to enrich growing minds in underprivileged societies. We have made it our responsibility to aid and provide communities that are educationally deprived with opportunities and resources such as textbooks, mentorship programs, workshops, and much more. It is our belief that he who does not know, can know from learning. As current undergraduates and soon to be graduates, we hope to spread far and wide across the world speaking of our experiences and benefits of education, to motivate others in their journey and pursuit of knowledge.
