We are thrilled to announce the Slope Day Programming Board’s annual student design competition, and we are seeking your talent! This year, your design could be featured on the official Slope Day 2025 fabric poster, to be sold at Cornell Store. All proceeds will support Slope Day events and future celebrations!

If you’re a designer, artist, or just excited about Slope Day and want to get involved, this is your chance to make an impact on one of Cornell’s biggest events. Here’s what you need to know to get started!

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? The winning designer will receive a Slope Day Merch Basket filled with an exclusive poster, official t-shirt, sunglasses, and an opportunity to come backstage during Slope Day*! If the winner is a graduate student, they’ll also receive a free Slope Day 2025 ticket!

DESIGN DEADLINE

GUIDELINES
Create a visually compelling design that reflects the energy and excitement of Slope Day
Dimensions: 8 in x 10 in poster (portrait)
Text: Your design must include the phrase “Slope Day ’25” (it doesn’t have to be the main focus, but it should be clearly visible). You may include other words or phrases, but please avoid using “Cornell” or “Cornell University.” No profanities or explicit context / No illegal or copyrighted material
Colors: Use the color palette provided. You’re welcome to:
Use some or all of the colors
Create gradients (e.g., blue, green, red)
Notes:
The fabric of the poster will be a soft linen, very similar to the #F5F0E9 on the color palette
We may request minor adjustments if your design is selected, to align with vendor requirements
Additional elements : Add at least one visual element that represents Cornell (such as the Slope or Clock Tower)—just avoid using the Cornell name or logo
Submission: Accepted submission formats: png, jpeg, pdf, ai, psd
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If your design is chosen, you will hear from us via your Cornell email. If we are unable to reach you, we will have to choose another design. Once we begin working with vendors, we may ask you to make some modifications to the design. However, we will aim for these to be very minor, granting you full authorship over the design.

*Subject to artist discretion
If any questions or concerns should arise, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at slopeday@cornell.edu.
