About Us
The Preservation Studies Student Organization (PSSO) was built to facilitate and strengthen the graduate students within the Historic Preservation Planning program at Cornell University. It provides graduate student representation within the Department of City and Regional Planning and Cornell University, while raising awareness with regards to the field of Historic Preservation Planning through social activities, information sharing and building a practical skill set related to the preservation of the built environment. We provide academic, social and professional support and services to those students in historic preservation and cultural resources and meet approximately once a month to discuss activities and issues facing the preservation community. Furthermore, we provide information for the students and faculty of the school of Architecture, Art and Planning through yearly lecture series and conferences. Efforts are made to coordinate educational opportunities with the Organization of Cornell Planners (OCP) and with the Historic Preservation Planning Alumni organization (HPPA). *This organization is a registered student organization of Cornell University.*
