Collage-making with London-based Artist Sharon Walters

Join London-based collage artist, Sharon Walters (www.londonartist1.com), in an hour and a half-long, art-making workshop. Inspired by her series Seeing Ourselves, we will be discussing themes of representation of black female artists, creativity, and mental health. Walters' most recent collaborations include the Tate London, BBC London Radio, and Royal Museums Greenwich and has also showcased her work on ITV Create.

Before this workshop, we encourage you to look at Sharon Walter's Instagram and her website to learn about her and think about what you want to make during this workshop.

You will have the opportunity to ask Sharon questions during the event.

Museum Club members will be handing out glue sticks and magazines to work with during the workshop on Friday, April 23 on the Arts Quad! Come by if you need art supplies or want to chat about the event. We recommend that prior to the event, you gather images (either printed or in magazines), paper (or cardboard), scissors (or exacto knife) and some type of adhesive (glue, tape, paint, etc.).
