About Us

The Global Health Student Advisory Board (GHSAB) is a student-led board that works in collaboration with the DNS Global Health Program. GHSAB develops and improves global and public health programming that engages students, faculty, staff, and alumni across the university. Through our unequivocal passion for global and public health, we aim to increase awareness of global and public health issues while promoting health equity, diversity, and inclusion. As a diverse group of students—representing different races, ethnicities, geographies, genders, majors, and professional aspirations—we all hold unique worldviews that inform our global health programming. We are committed to shifting the discourse on Cornell's campus to promote racial justice, health equity, and responsible engagement with diverse communities by hosting several opportunities and events throughout the academic year.

What We Do

GHSAB is excited and proud to host on-campus and virtual events that allow Cornell students to learn and highlight their experiences in the fields of global and public health, including the Experiential Learning Symposium (ELS) and the Global Health Case Competition. We also offer various events and activities for students to connect with our alumni network to learn about their journeys and gain career advice. Check out the GHSAB Podcast, "Where In The World Are You," or read our Global Health Program Network newsletter to catch up with our amazing alumni and current events in the program.

Experiential Learning Symposium (ELS)

ELS allows Global Health students to share and highlight their work and experiences in the global health field with their peers, faculty, and staff throughout the University. Explore our ELS website to learn about the projects that students completed in 2020 and 2021!

"Where In The World Are You?"

Listen to GHSAB's podcast on Spotify to learn about various alumni's stories. The most recent episode features Tatyana Roberts and her time as at Cornell in the Global and Public Health major and her current journey through medical school!
