CVM Peer Mentors

Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine

Who are the CVM Peer Mentors?

The CVM Peer Mentors are a group of upper-year veterinary students at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine who work with the Office of Student Services to foster an environment that supports the first-year veterinary student's transition to Cornell. By hosting various events which engage the broader CVM community, Peer Mentors offer opportunities for de-stressing, networking, and discussing both academic and personal challenges. CVM Peer Mentors receive extensive training in communication, mental health resources, and conflict resolution, and collaborate with faculty and staff throughout the school year to tailor both CVM-specific and campus-wide resources to individual students.
