About Us
Our mission is to provide an opportunity for women at Cornell to practice and learn freestyle wrestling. The main style of wrestling taught in the U.S. is folkstyle, but this style is only competitive in U.S. high school boys' and college men's wrestling. Providing freestyle experience will afford greater opportunities for women seeking competition experience, as freestyle wrestling is for women at all levels of competition, from local open tournaments to the international level. We believe that freestyle wrestling can be a highly empowering and liberating activity for women.
