Cornell University Identification Card

As a general reminder, all students are to be carrying their Cornell University identification card (CUID) at all times.

The Cornell University identification card identifies you as a current member of the Cornell community. Depending on your relationship to the university and the services that you sign up for, your ID card can also be used as an electronic door key and to access a variety of functions and facilities on campus. This includes athletic events, Cornellcard charges, dining units, fitness centers, libraries, transportation services, and parking and vending machines. No room keys or temporary access cards will be issued or given to guests, and residents may not give their keys or ID card to someone else in order for the person to gain entry into a room and/or residence hall. More information on this policy can be found here:

All lost or stolen keys must be reported to Cornell University Police and the Service Center/House Office staff immediately. If the keys are not found within 5 days, the lock core will be replaced at the student’s expense. There are no exceptions to this policy.

When asked by a Cornell Official (example: Resident Assistants, Resident Hall Directors, Area Coordinators, Cornell University Police Department) to provide your CUID, your compliance is required. More information can be found here regarding policies: https://cornell.campusgroups.com/click?linkid=d4fd6112-d452-4d8a-b051-9b330a30f890

Thank you for your compliance in carrying your CUID with you as a member of our community!

Thousands of dollars in cash prizes are up for grabs, plus numerous opportunities to network with and be mentored by representatives from LinkedIn, Google, JP Morgan Chase, Deloitte, Veritas, Intel, IBM, Wayfair, Goldman Sachs, Northrop Grumman, and staff and faculty across Cornell, both in person and virtually!
