Welcome to South Campus!
Hello Residents of South Campus! Welcome (or welcome back) to Cornell! Our names are Sydney Paluch, Residence Hall Director (RHD) of South Campus, and Kristi Shorter, Interim Assistant Director and Area Coordinator of South Campus. As some of you may know, South Campus is comprised of 7 buildings - 109 McGraw, 112 Edgemoor, Cascadilla Hall, Equity and Engagement Community (EEC), Schuyler House, Sheldon Court, and Veterans House. Kristi oversees Sheldon Court, while Sydney oversees all other South Campus buildings.
Keep an eye out each Saturday for The South Campus Spirit Newsletter. Inside each issue will be information about upcoming programs, inmportant reminders and updates, and more! If you ever want include something in the newsletter, please email Sydney (if you live in Sydney's buildings) at sydney.paluch@cornell.edu or Kristi at kls346@cornell.edu (if you live in Sheldon) with your request by 12:00 PM on the previous Friday. Mandatory Community Meetings (for all residents)

As a reminder, all residents should be attending their community meetings. You should have received an email from your floor/building RA(s) about the details of your specific meeting. Please double check your email for that communication and/or reach out to your RA for more details if you cannot find that communication! A list of RAs in each community can be found at the end of this newsletter.

Take Out Your Trash and Clear Your Hallway!
Each South Campus community has dumpsters either in the back of their building or near by. If you are unsure of the location please check in with your RA. You should be taking all room trash and recycling to the appropriate dumpsters!
You should not keep personal items such as shoes, luggage, trash, umbrellas, boxes, kitchen supplies, etc. in hallways or throwing things out in the common areas trash cans. This is both a violation of the Community Living Standards and prevents our Building Care Team from vacuuming the space.
As a reminder, respecting our common spaces and taking out your personal trash is part of the Community Living Standards. Please review these and email tf265@cornell.edu if you have any questions. |
