Firstly, we are proud to announce that last semester, QGrads received a Belonging at Cornell grant to start a donation-based community gender-affirming closet called the Life Transitioning Closet. We are currently seeking volunteers to help with this project, so if you're interested in supporting this important initiative, please fill out the interest form below.
In addition, we are also planning our inaugural queerinar, a mini-conference to celebrate and showcase the work and art of LGBTQ+ scholars at Cornell. We want to create a space where queer grad students can come together to share their research and creativity and connect with each other. We are inviting participation from all members of the community, and we hope you'll consider responding to our call for participation below.
We are thrilled to bring these projects to the Cornell community and we hope you'll join us in making them a success. Stay tuned for more updates on these and other exciting initiatives from QGrads!

More and more bills, directives, and campaigns continue to advance and are being discussed in state houses across the US that would limit transgender kids ability to live and thrive in their schools, access gender affirming care, and be safe at school.
Any shaded state in the image below has bills currently being advanced in their legislature.
Take action! Call lawmakers, send emails, and get your friends to do the same!

"This past month the Cayuga Nation Police demolished homes, kidnapped citizens, and perpetrated other forms of violence. All of it is enabled by the US government's violation of Gayogohono sovereignty, through the failure of the BIA and DOI to heed the removal of Halftown by his late Clan Mother. PLEASE use the linked call scripts to call elected and appointed officials across the federal government. These officials have been silent and/or failed to act to stop the violence perpetuated by their own inaction."
