From: The High Rises: Jameson Hall and High Rise 5 Date: September 14, 2021 Subject: High Rise Community Newsletter, September 13th
Hi First_Name,
During the week of the 9/3/2021 - 9/9/2021: 113 new positive Average of 14 positive cases per week.
91/185 rooms are occupied for quarantine and Isolation #MaskupOrPackUp
If you live in a triple and took the railing off the balconies for both high rises are in the process of being serviced to meet compliance. High Rise 5 balconies are to code, but Jameson balconies are not. The Sky lounges are also not in compliance. Until further notice, those balconies are going to be locked. We will make an announcement when they are available to be used. The RA’s and I are eagerly waiting for the balconies to be open so we can take those gram worthy selfies with the sun.
Room Change Requests need to be made in the housing portal. Once submitted you must schedule a meeting with myself to get approval. Schedule a meeting with me here: https://calendly.com/cv247
Register for the FINAL community meeting on Friday, September 17th: https://cglink.me/2ee/r1231348. We will be checking attendance for all the meetings, and those who did not attend will be required to attend a makeup meeting.
ROOMMATE AGREEMENTS
The RAs are going to begin sharing the Roommate Agreements and Expectations within the next two days. They are due back to them on Tuesday Sep 21. Please take the time to sit with your roommates to talk about your expectations of each other. You might have already done this, but this ensures that if you have not done so already, you can! Your floor RA will be following up with every room so please take this seriously.
A Note From Building Care
Please do not take the toilet paper and bags that are left in the racks in the bathroom. Those are for the building care to use when servicing your bathrooms. Supplies that are meant for you to use are in the cubby near the RA rooms. We are understaffed and are working hard to meet the needs of the community. Work Orders that cannot wait should be forwarded to the RHD and Cliff can push it up the priority list.
All bed lofting and alterations have been completed, if you requested your bed to be lofted and it was missed, email RHD Cliff-Simon at cv247@cornell.edu with the work order that was submitted.
High Council Updates
Need some kitchen appliances or items? Reach out to your Floor Rep to let them know of your needs. We will be shopping next Sunday!
Floor Representatives will be coming around to find out what kind of activities you would like to see occur on your floor, stop by and or reach out to your floor rep to share your perspective.
We want to highlight your birthday!! If you are not comfortable with us sharing that out with the building community please reach out to us.
Ô£¿ BINGO WINNER Ô£¿
Erik Payton, YOU won the Resident Bingo Raffle. For completing the Bingo Card, you win Cornell Merch. Please send RHD Cliff an email with your preferred T Shirt Size.
