CLIFF NOTES
DONLON FAM!!! Welcome back to the BEST RES HALL ON NORTH! It was really nice to see you all move back in and bring life back to Donlon. Let’s make this semester the best one yet! I know we have had some facilities concerns, please know that we are doing the best we can to address the concerns and have limitations as we only have the ability to report the concern and follow up. Keep an eye on your emails and the building slack channel for live updates.
Something broken or not working like it should, submit a work order LINK: https://maximo.fs.cornell.edu/kerb/apps/index.cfm/serviceRequests
If you submit a work order, be sure to forward it to Cliff (cv247). RA On Call answers the phone starting at 7pm and shuts the phone off at 8am.
The phone is on 24/7 on weekends. The number is 607-327-1417 Hallways, Floor lounges, and Staircases are public spaces.
Please do not place personal items or trash in these spaces. Bathrooms get cleaned and sanitized weekly.
If a bathroom needs extra attention, let one of your RAs know. RAs are here to help
There are 3 Resident Advisors on each floor! Rooms 13, 47, and 30 have designated staff members who are there to help. I’m locked out and the RA on Call is not on shift yet!!
If you are able to (dressed appropriately, decent, etc) go to the RPCC service center where you pick up mail and rent out a loaner key. If you are not able to call RHD Cliff at 607-255-0520. You will be charged a lock change every time.
Start the semester strong
Establishing a foundation of self-care helps promote your mental health and support your academic success all semester long. Check out Cornell Health’s top 10 tips for thriving at Cornell, as well as their free workshops and resources to support your health and well-being.
CAPS spring counseling groups
Did you know that for many concerns, group support is as effective or MORE effective than individual counseling? CAPS offers free counseling groups to help students manage anxiety, depression, eating concerns, substance use, and more, with groups especially for students of color and LGBTQ+ students. See what students say about CAPS groups.
Hazing: Not just an innocent rite of passage
Joining a group, team, or organization should never jeopardize your physical or mental health. Most groups at Cornell don’t haze – and 91% of Cornell students say it's never okay to humiliate or intimidate new group members – but whenever new members join, there is the potential for hazing. Visit hazing.cornell.edu to see how Cornell defines hazing, review campus hazing violations, and learn how to report hazing online or get support for related concerns.
