What is a Scriptorium?
Scriptorium is the Latin term meaning ‘a place for writing’. In medieval monasteries, the term referred to a room used to copy and illuminate manuscripts. The current proposal is modelled after a highly successful project run at Pusey House in Oxford, where Scriptorium is the name of “a prayerful study group that encourages accountability, as well as a structured approach to work and rest.”

All are welcome to come and study, chat, eat, and if you feel moved to, pray with us at Scriptorium. While it lasts from 10AM to 5PM, you don't have to stay the entire time; you are encouraged to come and go as you please. Beyond study and fellowship, Scriptorium is also a place of interfaith dialogue and understanding.
Food Provided (Baked goods, such as bagels and scones, are provided.)
