Schwartz Center Open House Tours

The department of Performing and Media Arts is pleased to invite students to explore the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts during our upcoming Open House Tours on Thursday, August 21. If you're curious about performing and media arts at Cornell, this is your perfect opportunity to discover the spaces where creativity flourishes. 

Tours will depart hourly from the main lobby, beginning at 9:30am and concluding with our final tour at 3:30pm (9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, and 3:30pm). Each guided tour will last approximately 30 minutes, and no advance registration is required – simply arrive at your preferred tour time. 

During your visit, you'll explore our comprehensive range of professional facilities, including our distinguished theatre spaces: the Kiplinger Theatre, Flex Theatre, and Black Box Theatre. The tour will also showcase our dance facilities, featuring the Ballet Studio and Dance Studio Theatre, as well as our film and media production facilities, including the Sound Stage, Film Forum, and Editing Suite. Additionally, visitors will get an insider's look at our production facilities, including the Scene Shop and Costume Shop, among other creative spaces. 

This open house is designed specifically to give incoming students a thorough understanding of the diverse artistic opportunities available at Cornell. Whether your interests lie in theatre, dance, film, or media arts, you'll discover the spaces and resources that will support your creative endeavors throughout your academic journey.
