Corning Breakfast and Tour

Details
ChEGSA and CBE Women will be hosting an industrial tour of Corning on Friday, April 25th! Attendees will tour the Diesel plant and see the Research and Development Site.
This will be a full-day event. Attendees will be asked to arrive at Olin around 7:00 AM (this is subject to change) and the event will run from roughly 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. It is important to note that no WIP Seminar is scheduled for April 25th. Attendees are asked to arrive at Olin Hall before the event so we can eat breakfast and carpool to the event.
We will be coordinating carpools with those who are able and willing to drive. Drivers will be reimbursed for gas. A more detailed schedule will be sent to those who sign up as soon as it is made available to us.
There are a limited number of spaces for this event (only 20 spaces) , so if you are interested, please sign up as quickly as possible. Priority will be given to those who are closer to graduation, and those who did not attend last year's tour, if spaces fill up quickly. The signup form will close next Friday, April 4th, 2025.
This event takes a lot of time and planning on Corning's part, so we ask that you only sign up if you know for sure that you can attend. It is important that we maintain a strong relationship with Corning, so we need to be considerate of the effort that they put into putting on this event for us. Due to a significant number of students dropping out last minute last year for the event, we will be collecting $20 from those who sign up for the event to reserve their spot. This money will be refunded as long as the event is attended. More information about how to submit the payment will be sent to those who have signed up.

Time: Tour will run from 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM (Arrive to Olin at around 7:00 AM for transportation and return to Olin around 6:00 PM)
Where: Corning Diesel Plant and R&D Site in Painted Post New York
