In the Episcopal Church our life together is grounded in the weekly celebration of the Eucharist. Sometimes called Holy Communion or Mass, this ancient ritual brings us together to listen to scripture, be challenged through preaching, confess our faults and be forgiven, to pray for the world and to worship God through music and prayer, and to participate in the sacrament of Christ's body and blood. At ECC we practice "open table," meaning that all are welcome to receive the bread and wine of Holy Communion - a curiosity about the sacrament is all that is required. A bulletin contains all words and prayers in the service - you can follow along and participate as much, or as little, as you like.

As Episcopalians we try to walk the middle way – our services combine the majesty of a Catholic Mass with the hymn singing and emphasis on individual understanding of the Protestant tradition. Our members take an active role in every service – greeting visitors, reading scripture aloud, leading prayers, serving as acolytes, setting up, cleaning up, preaching on occasion – and everyone does a lot of singing. New faces are always welcome – if you don’t know anything about an Episcopal service, we’d be happy to show you the ropes! All are welcome!
