Cornell Wind Symphony, James Spinazzola, conductor. In the opening concert of the 2024-2025 season, the Wind Symphony celebrates the 125th anniversary of Duke Ellington's birth with James Spinazzola's new arrangement of A Tone Parallel to Harlem and Omar Thomas's Come Sunday. Flutist Juliana Pepinsky will be on hand for Lowell Liebermann's stunning Concerto for Flute and Orchestra, and the Wind Symphony will mark one month before the U.S. presidential election with Percy Grainger's Marching Song of Democracy.
