On April 22nd at 4:30 PM, we are honored to host Yahya Ashour, award-winning Gazan poet and author, for a reading and Q&A titled “What the World’s Silence Says.” This event will not only offer insights into Yahya’s profound lived experiences but also address his ties to the war on Gaza as a displaced individual. With the alarming rise of Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, and anti-Arab sentiment on this campus and nationally, it is imperative we host events that uplift Arab and Muslim voices and represent intersectional solidarity before the semester ends.
