About Us
In the UDV we aim to revive unconscious principles. These principles like symmetry, mathematical proportionality, and harmony immemorially have been understood to underlie beauty. These principles lead to our liking of things without clear rationale. These principles were the foundation of a design based education since before antiquity. Only around one hundred years ago did these fully fall out of education. By reintegrating these principles into students’ design education, we can thereby rekindle beauty in our surroundings.
