Being a student organization advisor is a transformative experience, for students and the advisor.

There are many independent student organizations looking for a professional staff member to become their advisor. With over a 1000 different groups with a variety of different interests, there are tremendous opportunities to make an impact. Mentoring and advising can be a rewarding way to share interests, knowledge, and transferable skills. Advisors must be a full time faculty or staff member and have a desire to connect with students in a meaningful way. Serving as an advisor to an independent student organization is a volunteer role and the level of advisor engagement is determined together between the student members and advisor.

If you are interested in serving as an advisor, please fill out the below interest form. Once there is a possible match in terms of interest, the Campus Activities Office will be in touch.
