About Us

SAPS’ mission is to create an in-house and inter-house support system for Cornell Greek Life members affected by sexual assault and harassment by institutionalizing interactive education, preventive measures, and communication regarding sexual violence. Namely, SAPS seeks to change the culture in Greek Life through moderated dialogues and discussion forums on the topic of SA, and how to understand, respond, and prevent it. SAPS seeks to create an institutionalized system that students can look to for years to come by passing down knowledge and committee responsibilities to the younger generations of Cornell Greek Life members. SAPS is a two-pronged system. Firstly, each Greek house in the SAPS community has an internal committee. Secondly, roughly once a month, the chairs of each individual SAPS committee meet as representatives of their houses to share updates on their internal meetings and brainstorm ideas on the meeting topic.
