One of the most impactful experiences in making the transition to college is becoming involved. This involvement can be within your campus through academics, clubs and organizations, or within your Residence Hall.
Within Risley, Risleyites pride themselves in the involvement they put forth to create a unique and unmatched experience. Kommittee is Risley's Hall Council as part of Cornell's Residential Student Congress (RSC). RSC or Residential Housing Associations (RHA's) on other campuses are part of a worldwide organization called NACURH (National Association of College and University Residence Halls). NACURH provides numerous conferences for students leaders to network, plan programs, and emphasis the importance of recognition and leadership.
Kommittee feeds that global endeavor of placing importance in student lead progress. Through Kommittee meetings students are able to reserve space, make amendments to Kommittee's Charter, allocate money for programs both small and large scale, and add to the colorful history by proposal a mural, to name a few.
Kommittee is a place to actualize your vision with the helpful aid of those crafting theirs as well. In Risley you are not alone in what you want to accomplish but celebrated for thinking outside the box, being unique, and not being afraid to say what matters most to you. In Risley, you are a vital component and Kommittee involvement is the perfect place to start!
Kommittee meeting on Sundays at 9pm in the Central Living Room (CLR)
