In conjunction with the Johnson Museum’s recent acquisition of a pastel by Anna Tonelli, this free lecture and concert will offer a glimpse into women’s participation in both art and music-making in late eighteenth-century England.

The program will feature repertoire composed or favored by women of the time, performed on the Cornell Center for Historical Keyboards’ 1799 London Broadwood fortepiano and a Clementi Square piano from the Sigal Music Museum in Greenville, South Carolina. The event will also be live-streamed (the webinar link will be posted here).

Cosponsored by the Johnson Museum of Art and the Cornell Center for Historical Keyboards.
