“Spring Songs”: Gary Moulsdale, tenor, and Vera H.P. Hsu, piano

"Spring Songs": Tenor Gary Moulsdale and pianist Vera H.P. Hsu present a program of 20th-century Mandarin art songs, featuring text from Tang dynasty poetry, Song dynasty lyrics, and 20th-century verse. The program reflects on the passage and transience of time, as well as the arrival of spring. The recital includes song settings by Huang Tzu, Qing Zhu, Ma Sicong, Li Yinghai, Jiang Wenye, and Chao Yuen Ren (Cornell Class of 1914).
